Based on our years of industry experience and practical knowledge, we have designed a unique 5Ds methodology that serves as the foundation for our value-optimisation approach, and essentially, everything we do at Dante Deo. These 5Ds guide our projects, products, and negotiations, ensuring we continue to deliver a difference and giving our clients complete transparency and visibility of our work.
5Ds
Discover
Discover the current landscape by analysing the requirements, objectives, supply market, and business information, including current agreements, implementation, and utilisation.
Demand
Establish the future Demand – arguably the most important activity in the process, we gather all the necessary information by conducting workshops and interviews with IT stakeholders and researching the relevant architecture. This step ensures we understand the demand and upstream and downstream effects.
Define
Define what is required – all data is now collated and analysed to define the strategic roadmap of the project. This step includes outlining a commercial model, evaluating high-risk products, performing a GAP analysis, mapping out the requirements against the timeline, and developing a sourcing strategy – all informing a holistic view of the business’s needs.
Design
Design the commercial solution – at this stage, we engage with the market to design the supply arrangement, determining the specific details of the project. Activities here include performing the market enquiry, evaluating responses, conducting or assisting with negotiations, designing the optimal agreement structure, and completing price benchmarking.
Deploy
And finally, Deploy the solution. We implement and manage the solution to ensure our clients can optimise on value. Often, nearly 20% of profit is lost here because sourcing and procurement don’t follow through with deployment. This step includes planning deployment, hosting a knowledge transfer workshop, managing contract governance, facilitating vendor management and stakeholder relationship management, and aligning delivery across the implementation network.
