Our Story

During his 25-year career in the IT space, Leon Steyn identified a gap in the market for a truly integrated service offering that aligns clients' technical requirements and architectural design with the market's commercial arrangements. With this vision in mind, he created Dante Deo in 2015 to deliver a difference to South African public- and private-sector organisations.

In 2017, Dante Deo expanded its presence globally, setting up operations in the United Kingdom. Since then, the firm has served clients across the world, negotiating agreements in the USA, Canada, Namibia, Botswana, Singapore, Chile, Brazil, and the Netherlands.

The Meaning Behind Our Name

Founded in faith, Dante Deo is Latin for "giving to God." Our core purpose is to deliver a difference, and this mission extends beyond the business world into society and the economy - this is our way of giving honour and thanks to God.

We always strive to bring meaning and purpose to everything we do, planting seeds for positive social and economic change in our projects. Driven by our values of integrity, accountability, professional duty, excellence and social responsibility, we continue to deliver more than commercial improvements and cost savings - engaging with our clients and suppliers to make a real difference in South Africa and the other countries we operate in.
